Don’t worry, we’ve committed to the cause so you don’t have to. We’ll be your CliffsNotes to pop culture. This is a podcast for us and stans everywhere. Listen in each week and you’ll be a hit at whatever happy hour, office function, or bridal shower you are forced to attend.

Okay, but what does STAN mean?

STAN: “a very overzealous and obsessed fan of a celebrity, band, TV show or movie.”
WE STAN: “expression of extreme support for something, or that you are a huge fan of someone.”

The term is derived from Eminem’s “Stan” featuring Dido. Caitlin and Lauren didn’t fully know that when they created the name, We Stan Together, but here we are.

Bryan Yang (What’s Eating You?) joins the classroom to discuss food movies. Caitlin finds Nothing But Trouble disgusting, Lauren is inspired by Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Simply Irresistible, Bryan plays Breaking Chef and Help The Yelp, and can the three of them buy Rainforest Café?

Mykal Kilgore (A Man Born Black) joins the classroom to discuss duets! We share our bizarre meet cute with Mykal, Lauren encourages the reboot of Celebrity Duets, Caitlin loves women dueting about cheaters and Mykal reveals his dream duet partners. We finally decide which Powerpuff Girls correlate to which Boyz II Men member. Caitlin maybe made a factual error in her game, but be cool about it.

Khalia Davis (Bay Area Children’s Theatre) joins the classroom to discuss Golden Girls, the best show ever. Caitlin recounts all the cast’s Emmy wins, Lauren casts a reboot -- with added sexual tension! We play Golden Hallmark and Did You See Sophia after Khalia shows us her collection of Golden Girls shirts.

@gianmarcosoresi (Hustlers, Comedy Central) joins the classroom to discuss Strippers in Film. Lauren reveals Channing Tatum canceled their Zoom meeting, Caitlin thinks it’s time for Striptease 2 and Gianmarco designs Hustlers: The Musical!

J.W. Crump (Pod Ledom, Fakerz Dozen) steps in as sub-pop culture professor with Caitlin and they discuss Fast Casual Restaurants in media from Breadstix to Central Perk to whatever the hell that fake brunch spot is on Sex And The City! J.W. thinks every show needs to think about the restaurant tie-in before they even premiere, Caitlin loves Always Sunny’s dedication to Guigino’s RIP and somehow, someway they pitch what a Raven-Symoné video game would look like.

WB Madness concludes with the crown jewel of the WB, Dawson’s Creek. Emily Longeretta (Variety, Reality Rundown) joins the classroom to discuss dating while a Creek fan, interviewing cast members, how the characters would fair on the Challenge and Lauren’s brilliant idea for a reboot called Capeside.
